| Shambhala Center Membership
Becoming a member of the Shambhala Meditation Center of Denver is a statement about your personal inspiration, curiosity, and commitment to the path of awakening, and your desire to participate in a community of practitioners who aspire to relate to each other with honesty, warmth, and openness. We inspire one another to deepen our practice of mindfulness, awareness and compassion.
The Shambhala Meditation Center of Denver is managed and supported by its members through their volunteer work and financial support. Membership is an expression of connection to this center and an opportunity to share in the vision of Shambhala. It is because of our members that the profound tradition of meditation has been able to survive and flourish.
Membership is a commitment to meditation practice and dharma study, and to become involved in the activities at the Shambhala Meditation Center of Denver. There are many benefits to becoming a member. All members are supported in their regular sitting meditation practice and in the study of Shambhala Buddhism. They are invited to connect with a personal meditation instructor and they receive discounts for various classes and programs.
In addition to these benefits, members become a crucial part of the financial and volunteer support of the center. Volunteer work is how we are able to offer programs and services. Member financial giving is the backbone of operations at our Shambhala centers.
Members are asked to contribute $40 a month but it is recognized that individuals' circumstances differ and arrangements can be made in support of our Generousity Policy. We invite you to learn how you can contribute your time, energy, and/or financial resources to help the activities of Shambhala continue to grow! If you are interested, please contact Norman Henderson (303-452-9671 or e-mail).
