April 2017 Denver Monthly Newsletter

Sangha News

The New Year marks many changes within our community. As many of you know, Chris Bacon has relocated to California. Chris has served the Denver community for many years and he will be greatly missed. As our Rusung Chris manifested as a true, genuine warrior of Shambhala and invaluable member of our sangha. We wish him all the best!

This past Shambhala Day Taylor Owen, our Chagdzo (bursar) formally retired. Taylor has fulfilled this role for the past three years bringing a wealth of knowledge, skill and dedication to the position. It is rare that one individual brings so much to an organization. Thank you Taylor for everything you have brought to our community. Also, congratulations on recently taking your refuge vow!

Jennifer Yarbro is on leave from the position of Societal Health and Well-Being. She is participating in The Warriors Who Are Fearless, an immersive nine-month residency with the Shambhala Monastic Order at Gampo Abbey (January-September 2017). We are inspired by her practice and miss her leadership at the Denver center.
