July 2017 Letter from the Director

Dear Denver Shambhala Community,

It is truly an interesting time to be part of the Denver Shambhala community. We are exploring satellite expansion in the Highlands area, pop-up open house programming in the Stapleton area and hosting the Sakyong book tour event this fall in downtown Denver. There are so many ways to connect and be part of it all.

Coming Together for Community

Our community is looking ahead to a bright future. We want to tell you all about it! In September, the Governance Leadership Council will host a town-hall meeting to gather the energy of the community and share our plans and inspiration. It’s time to raise our flags, unite and coordinate our efforts. Join us September 17th!

Harvest of Peace

Also, this year we will hold our Harvest of Peace celebrations in early October. Harvest of Peace is a traditional time for Shambhala centers, groups and members to gather, celebrate and enjoy each other’s company, conversation and the richness of Shambhala. Join us October 1st for this important community day of celebration!

Volunteering for the Sakyong’s Denver Event Oct 20th + 21st

With the Sakyong coming to Denver in October, now is a great time to galvanize our community to build excitement and bring as many people together for the Sakyong’s first stop on his new book tour. If you are interested in volunteering please join us for a volunteer meeting at 1:30pm on August 6th and fill out this quick volunteer survey.
