Harvesting Community

Harvest of Peace is behind us, but the hot days continue, a little bit ominously if nonetheless enjoyable. We have marked the beginning of autumn in our traditional style. Our community is in a highly engaged and exciting situation. The center has great energy on Sunday mornings, as well as Thursday evenings. Heart of Recovery meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays are thriving. Those behind the scenes want both to acknowledge and appreciate the energy of people who have recently connected with our communal spirit. We also invite those who are interested to join us as Members or Friends of Shambhala. From our hearts, we invite anyone feeling connected to the community to help support it in the ways that help us offer what we do. Practice is the primary offering. Practice supports peace both internal to oneself and in the world as a whole. We aspire to be a place where peace happens, where peace is manifest and magnetizing. Participation is the next avenue of offering, although of course, financial support is important too.

All of our calendar of offerings are scheduled, including classes for beginning meditators, as well as the traditional Shambhala Heart of Warriorship and Sacred Path curricula. Please join in those as the tuition supports all our activities and is a great investment in personal equanimity. In addition, the teams that cooperate to provide the programming and activities on Sunday mornings are actively seeking help. As an all volunteer center, we rely on the offering of participation as well as that of money. Many hands make light work, and generosity is the virtue that produces peace. So give generously of your resources and your cup will runneth over with positivity, energy and community!
