Your path is important to you. You have spent time learning the basics, and now you are looking to integrate the teachings into your life.

How to do it? Two words:

    Meditation practice
Meditation is the heart of the path. Your path is only as powerful as your practice is. Want to strengthen your path? Do it by deepening your practice. Yes, the answer is the obvious one: engage yourself in the time honored tradition of simply sitting in meditation and following the instructions you have already invested so much time in learning.
It is great to have a daily practice, even if it is 20 minutes per day. But the way to deepen your practice is to combine a daily practice with regular periods of intensive practice. If you can go on retreat for a week or a month, terrific. If you can’t, then spend at least one day per week dedicated to sitting longer. This is so important that we are going to do it together as a regular event at the Shambhala Meditation Center of Denver.
We offer this all-community meditation event each Wednesday evening from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the Highland Event Center (Community Room). We will build momentum together, and enter the depths of a simple, regular meditation practice. Each evening will include a brief meditation talk to set our intention and understanding before we practice. The evening will be mostly meditation, alternating sitting with optional walking practice.
If you would like to deepen your practice, then make a commitment to do so with the rest of us! Join with your fellow meditators to commit to the basics of the path. It is what you have been waiting for!
You are welcome to join us if you are new to meditation as well. Initial meditation instruction is offered each evening at 6:30 pm.
You may attend for all or part of each evening. Please arrive on the hour or half-hour to enter the meditation hall during walking meditation.
It is free for Members and Friends of Shambhala. Suggested donation of $5-$10/evening for nonmembers.
