    Help Create an Enlightened Society
On January 15th, from 10:00am to 1:00 pm, be part of the annual Martin Luther King “MARADE’, beginning in City Park, Denver.

The Shambhala Meditation Center of Denver will join the MARADE processional, walking as a community. We march to show our commitment to social justice, civil discourse and creating a more enlightened society. All are welcome.

    Where to Gather
Colfax entrance of the Tattered Cover Bookstore at 9:45am at 2526 East Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80206. The Marade starts around 10:45am from the I HAVE A DREAM MEMORIAL in City Park, under direction from the podium.

The Martin Luther King Marade (march plus parade) is an event commemorating the great contributions to peace and justice of the late Dr. King.  It is perhaps the largest in the US with over 30,000 participating in the march walking west on Colfax Avenue. Marade formation begins immediately following a 9:45 am program in City Park (see map).

The Marade proceeds west on Colfax Avenue to Sherman St into the State Capitol grounds; South to Broadway to Civic Center Park.  The MLK program immediately follows the Marade, in Civic Center Park’s Greek Theater. The total distance equals 5K.

A group of us will head over to City O'City (206 East 13th) for lunch around 12:30 pm.
