When body is relaxed and peaceful, energy will flow. When mind is still, it will embrace qi and strengthen the body. In the Chinese arts of health and longevity, qigong simultaneously cultivates a peaceful body and a peaceful mind. Physical health and mental well-being are closely aligned.

Begin your journey of health and well-being in Qigong 1 by learning six classic qigong techniques that relax the body and two postures of standing qigong that gather internal energy. Continue in Qigong 2 by learning how to guide energy through the body using the Nine Self-Massage. Complete the program by learning Twelve Devas Tendon Changing - the most effective form of qigong used in repairing physical injuries and enhancing muscular-skeletal strength. This traditional qigong is through the lineage handed down by Dr. Eva Wong, of the Seven Stars Daoist Training (https://www.limitlessgate.com/).

The cultivation of body needs to be balanced by the cultivation of mind. Therefore, shamatha meditation (as taught in the Shambhala Centers) will be integrated with qigong practice throughout the program.

There are no requirements. If you wish to get started on improving your physical health and mental well-being, this program is for you. Note: This program is not appropriate if you are pregnant.

Levels 1 and 2 are only offered together – they are not offered separately. If you are repeating the training, you have the option to attend Saturday only.

Aranya Frantz is a Dharma practitioner within the Vajradhatu, Bon, and Shambhala traditions since 1984.  She has a strong commitment to Qigong and has been practicing and receiving training from Eva Wong for 18 years.

OUR GENEROSITY POLICY

We have a generosity policy to make our offerings available to all who wish to participate. If the program price is an obstacle for you, please consider what works for you, and offer as much of the program fee as you can. To arrange for this, please contact us in advance at: [email protected]

For those who can offer more than the program price, we have a “Patron Price.” Your generosity in offering the patron price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price.

There is an optional 50% discount for those repeating the program: $75 for full weekend, $37.50 for Saturday.
