Refuge Vow Weekend (In Person)

In the Buddhist tradition, taking refuge is a matter of commitment and acceptance and, at the same time, of openness and freedom. By taking the refuge vow, we commit ourselves to freedom.

The refuge vow is the ancient, traditional ceremony of becoming a Buddhist. It is a turning point in one’s life, and is both a proclamation and a celebration. Taking this vow is formally entering the lineage of the Buddha.
The Refuge Vow is open to anyone who has the sincere aspiration to take the vow and has practiced meditation for at least six months. The Refuge Vow Class is required prior to taking the vow. We will offer this on November 12, 19 and 26 (Tuesdays), 6:30 - 8:00 PM. More information and registration is here.
