Refuge Vow Ceremony & Celebration (In Person)
REFUGE VOW CEREMONY
Taking the Refuge Vow, the commitment to follow the path of Buddha, is both a very personal moment and a public ceremony. By taking the Refuge vow, one formally becomes Buddhist. It is traditionally considered to be as significant a day as our birthday.
The Refuge Vow Ceremony will be offered Sunday, Dec. 8 at 10:00 a.m. with preceptor Dale Asrael. All are welcome to attend. For those who have previously taken the Refuge Vow, the ceremony is a wonderful opportunity to renew the commitment to live with wakefulness in the midst of the ups and downs of daily life and at this pivotal time.
The ceremony is open to friends, family and the public. A celebration will follow the formal ceremony.
