Our Generosity Policy

In loving memory of Leslie Fiack who was a cherished and dedicated member of the Shambhala Denver community for many, many years. Funds from her estate help support the ability for everyone to attend our programming, regardless of financial wherewithal. May the impact of her life with all its moments of bravery, kindness, and wisdom continue to be of benefit for years to come!

The Shambhala Meditation Center of Denver is a non-profit organization supported by program fees, membership dues, donations and the energy of many volunteers. Our sincere intent is to share the Shambhala teachings with all who are interested regardless of financial considerations.

In order to make our programs accessible to everyone, we have a “Pay as much as you can afford” option for most Shambhala programs we offer. If you are able, we ask that you pay a minimum of 50% of the program fee in order to cover related program costs. Generosity Policy details for Shambhala programs are listed on the specific program’s webpage. If you have any questions, please contact SMCD’s director of finance.

If you have the means to help offset the cost of another’s fee, we sincerely encourage you to be a “Patron” and make an additional contribution beyond the published registration fee when you register. Your generosity as a “Patron” allows us to offer these teachings to everyone regardless of their ability to pay.

Please help us bring these teachings into the world by offering the most you can afford.
