Drala Hike: Staunton State Park

October 27th

Date details +
    Room: Other Location

Experience the magic of autumn in Colorado -- whispering trees, golden strokes of aspen, and views that open our minds to greater possibilities. Drala Hikes are a series of contemplative strolls after selected Sunday mornings over the Fall. We will enjoy each other's company while having guided practices to fine tune our senses to the genuine expression of the world.

Everyone is welcome! All experience levels, especially families and children, are highly encouraged to come along. (Parental supervision required.) The hikes will be gentle and about 2-4 miles over the period of 2 hours.

Time: At 1:15 pm we carpool from Shambhala Meditation Center of Denver to the selected location.  You are more than welcome to meet us at the trailhead too if you'd like! We will plan to arrive back at SMCD at 6pm.

Supplies: Please bring a water bottle and appropriate clothing for the weather, gas money for driver, and a kneeling pad or something else to sit on for occasional stops for sitting meditation. Hikes will be gentle with some hills, so tennis shoes should suffice. Some of these locations can be 20 degrees colder than Denver. No dogs, please.
